Colorado Driver Education FAQ

Is this course approved by the Colorado DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles)?
Yes! When searching for a course, it's important to find a State approved Colorado driver education course! This course is approved for the classroom instruction only and designed specifically for Colorado and teaches teen safe driving techniques and Colorad specific driving laws. Once this portion of your driver education training is complete, you simply complete six hours of behind the wheel instruction with a state approved instructor.

How will I receive my behind-the-wheel driver training?
Once you complete the online portion of the course and complete all requirements, you will go to your local DMV, take a test and once passed, receive your instruction permit. You will have to hold your instruction permit for one year before applying for your drivers licence. In addition, you will need to complete six hours of driver training with a state approved instructor.

How old do I have to be to take your Colorado driver education course?
You can begin our course at age 15. The State of Colorado requires that you be 15½ in order to obtain your instruction driving permit. So you can take the course a few months early, then at 15½ take your certificate to your DMV to apply for your instruction permit. You will need to have your instruction permit for one year before applying for your drivers license.

I have two children, can both use the same course?
Each teen will need to register for their own course in order to receive credit. A second child in the same household can qualify for a discount on the course by calling our toll free number.

Are there any refunds for your course?
Refunds are not issued for course materials already sent out or online courses that are started. Refunds are issued for course material not already shipped out or online courses that are not already started, minus $10 for credit card fees.
